Writer's Groups

One of the original goals of The Book Bungalow was to support both writers and readers. To that end, we do our best to put you in touch with other writers looking for a critique group. Currently, we are aware of one such group that meets on Monday evenings in the upstairs eating area at the Harmon's Grocery Store in Santa Clara on Pioneer Parkway.

In the beginning, we formed two other writers groups, but they have dissolved over the years. Should enough other writers come forward wanting to form a new group, we are willing to share your meeting details with our list of newsletter subscribers who expressed an interest in a writer's group.

Another resource we provide to writers and authors is an entire built-in section in the back hall--The Writer's Cabinet--devoted to books about famous authors and the writing and creative process. Drawers beneath contain many of the tools--pens, pencils, pads, journals, etc.--you would use as a writer.

Additionally, we try to provide workshops when we can at minimal cost. They are taught by visiting authors, many of whom have presented classes at writers conferences. Please check our Events Calendar to see if one of these workshops might suit you.
